Scott Wagstaff named Angels skipper

A new captain at Longmead
Tonbridge Angels are pleased to announce that Scott 'Waggy' Wagstaff is the club's new captain.
A vastly experienced player, Scott has made over 300 EFL appearances at the likes of Charlton Athletic, Bristol City and Gillingham, and has been a significant contributor to the squad since his arrival in Tonbridge. Scott arrived at the club in October 2022, making 35 appearances since. Last season, he scored that cherished equaliser against the eventual champions, Ebbsfleet United and has contributed five assists, on his way to winning both the Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards for the 22/23 campaign.
Manager Jay Saunders said: "I think Waggy is the perfect player to lead the team as captain, on and off the pitch his experience is so valuable to what we are trying to do at the club, and he is respected by all the players and the staff"
