Sean signs on for 24/25

Tonbridge Angels are delighted to announce that Sean Shields has agreed to stay for season 2024/25.

Sean, 32, a popular player within the squad and a fans’ favourite, has made a significant impact at the club since his signing from Raynes Park in October 2023 and a goalscoring debut against Hemel Hempstead Town.

After time at St Albans City and Dagenham and Redbridge, Sean put down his roots at Ebbsfleet United where he spent five seasons before departing for Weymouth. This season he has made 25 appearances in an Angels shirt, scoring five times and contributing 11 assists.

Sean commented: “I’m delighted to commit to this club next season. Since arriving I have thoroughly enjoyed my football and I feel at home playing in front of this tremendous fan base. The Board, the Gaffer and his management team have been integral in my decision to sign this deal and I am very much looking forward to what the future holds. I will forever be striving to better myself and help this group achieve success.”
