Full back James Folkes will not be returning to the Angels for the 2021/22 campign after being associated with the club for approaching seven years.

A popular player in the dressing room and with supporters on the terraces, James joined the then Isthmian Premier outfit in August 2014 and apart from a short spell at Grays Athletic during 2017/18 he has been an intrinsic part of Boss Steve McKimm's defensive unit including the promotion winning squad of 2018/19. In his time at The Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium he completed 227 appearances with two goals.   

McKimm said: "Folksey always played with his heart on his sleeve and many an opposition defender had cause to fear his wicked crosses from the right wing.  We will all miss his infectious humour and uplifting take on life, and i would like to thank him for his efforts while playing for me and wish him all the very best for the future."
