The 2020/21 Season planned to start Saturday 3rd October

National League

The first game scheduled to be in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup

The National League has confirmed that it is their intention to start the 2020/21 season on Saturday 3rd October, although clubs in National North and South will be involved in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on that date.

The final day of the season will be on Saturday 29th May 2021 with the play offs taking place in June although these dates are subject to FA approval.

There is still doubt at this stage as to the number of clubs in National North and South with either 42 or 40 league fixtures being played.

The National League are to issue 5 protocols to member clubs in preparation for the return of football the final one being 'Safe Return of Spectators'.  Within this protocol it is likely that ground capacities will be significantly reduced from normal levels.  The "socially distanced" capacity for each stadium will vary according to design, layout and configuration of each ground, and will need to be assessed by each Club in compliance with government guidance and in conjunction with their local authority.

Supporters should understand that are we entering a very different world in terms of watching non-league football and there will be a number of changes to adhere to.  That said, The Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium will continue to be a welcoming place for the community to enjoy semi-professional football, while at the same time ensuring as far as possible everyone's safety.
