The Rob Steele Stand

Rob Steele Stand

Tonbridge Angels Football Club is pleased to announce that the South Stand in the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium has been named ‘The Rob Steele Stand’ to celebrate the fantastic contribution of longstanding supporter and local Tonbridge resident, Rob Steele.

Rob has been supporting Tonbridge Angels for over thirty years and was previously a director and owner of the club up until 2001. Since then, Rob has been awarded the status of lifelong president of Tonbridge Angels and continues to attend most home matches.

Commenting on The Rob Steele Stand, Angels Chair, Sophie Purves said, "We are delighted to be able to recognise Rob Steele by naming the South Stand in his honour. We thank Rob for all he has done for Tonbridge Angels over many years. Rob is a private, humble man and a lot of the help and support he has given the club has never been made public." Sophie Purves added, "As well as being a terrific supporter behind the scenes, Rob is just a great, positive person around the place and has given me much valued advice in my new role.

The naming of The Rob Steele Stand gives Rob and his family a legacy that is fitting for the significant contribution they have made to Tonbridge Angels Football
Club."

Since Rob's recent diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease, he has been actively fundraising for Doddie Weir's charity, the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and the MND Association. We ask Angels fans to please donate to these charities, if possible, by following the links below. Together, let's help to find a cure and support the fight against MND.
