Three more agree terms for 2020/21!
Joe Turner, Tom Derry and Rian Bray say ‘yes’ to another season with the Angels
Joe Turner, Tom Derry and Rian Bray have agreed terms with Tonbridge Angels and will be part of Steve McKimm’s squad for the upcoming season.
Supporters will be delighted to learn that Turner will be back at Longmead as they voted him their player of the year for last season. With 139 appearances and 44 goals since joining the Angels he always poses a genuine threat to opposition defences whenever he cuts in from the left flank.
Following a disrupted last season due to injury, striker Tom Derry will be looking forward to the new campaign. Despite a long period out, he still managed to weigh in with six goals in 2019/20 which shows his ability in front of goal. Will always be remembered for that winning goal in the 2018/19 Super PlayOff.
Central defender Rian Bray played every minute of last season which says everything about McKimm’s trust in him. Arthur Lee’s departure the previous season had concerned some supporters but they needn’t have worried. His replacement has formed a formidable partnership with Sonny Miles and who can forget that last minute equalising strike at Concord Rangers before the 2019/20 season was brought to a premature end.
McKimm said: “This is really excellent news that these three players have committed their immediate futures to the club. We all know the quality they bring to the squad and their agreement will undoubtedly encourage more to follow.”
