Toby is our new custodian

Pompey 'keeper fills the void between the sticks
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome to the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium, Toby Steward, a 19 year-old goalkeeper, who joins on a season-long loan from Portsmouth.
Toby, who has been at Portsmouth since he was 10 years old, has recently signed a two year contract extension with Pompey and is very highly regarded by the management at the EFL Championship club and has indeed just returned from a week-long training camp with the senior squad in Croatia.
Toby spent last season on a similar loan spell at Southern League Premier club, Gosport Borough and enjoyed a fine season in which he was named by the Non League Bible as Step Three Goalkeeper of the Season.
He also received international recognition in December when he was called into the England Youth Development squad for a training camp at St George’s Park.
Jay Saunders, who has been patiently waiting to announce, commented: “Delighted to get Toby into the building, the signing has been agreed a long time. Portsmouth have been fantastic to deal with and we are really pleased to have him for the season. He has obviously big gloves to fill replacing Jonny but he is someone, that after a great season at Gosport last year, can kick on with us and will be a great asset to the club moving forward. He is a 'keeper with a big future in the game.”
