Tonbridge Angels have been informed by Portsmouth Football Club that they reluctantly have to recall Toby Steward with immediate effect.

Toby will take his place in Portsmouth’s first team squad for this evening’s game against Sheffield Wednesday.

We wish Toby well back at his parent club and thank him for his time at Tonbridge Angels.

We have signed Matt Rowley from Reading as Toby’s replacement. Matt, 21 years old, has previously had loan spells at Bognor Regis Town and Dover Athletic.

We welcome Matt, who goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s match at Truro City, and hope that he enjoys his spell at the Angels.
