Tonbridge Baptist Church continues to be Angels Official Community Partner

Tonbridge Baptist Church

Two established organisations working together for the good of the community

Tonbridge Baptist Church, situated just a few hundred yards up the road from our stadium, is to continue to be the club's Official Community Partner.

There have for a number of years been strong links between the two organisations, with the Lead Minister at the church, Neil Durling also being Tonbridge Angels’ Club Chaplain but more recently the ties have been strengthened even further with supporters donating to the church's foodbank and young people connected to the Church, via local schools becoming involved in the Angels’ school holiday soccer skills workshops.   Under privileged families in the local area will continue to be supported by Tonbridge Angels working closely with Tonbridge Baptist Church.

Angels Commercial Manager, Ross Bennett said: "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Tonbridge Baptist Church. Delivering for our community is a key part of our vision for Tonbridge Angels Football Club and teaming up with the Church allows us to access all parts of our community and ensure that everyone gets to experience what TAFC has to offer. From the Sustain Food Bank to the various support and advocacy groups running at the Church, we know first-hand the great work they do and we are thrilled to continue our close relationship."

Tonbridge Baptist Church’s Community Work Coordinator, Jemma Graffin said: “At TBC we value our relationship with Tonbridge Angels and are pleased that it is continuing to grow in this current season. It is good to be working together to see our vision ‘Lives Being Transformed’ practically seen in our local community.”

Neil Durling said: “We are humbled once again to be in receipt of an anonymous third-party gift that will enable a programme of events and activity for the benefit of people from all sections of the local area, that they might enjoy a greater measure of community in all its fullness.   If you asked me ten seasons ago when I took on this role, if I could imagine what we have now between the club and church I’d have thought you were joking!  It’s great to see us working together!”
