On Monday, 13th May, Angels In The Community hosted a fantastic event for 60 pre-school aged children in partnership with The Tonbridge Childminding Group.

A group of our community coaches hosted 60 minutes worth of inclusive fun and engaging activities with the children and it was amazing to see the smiles on the faces of the children involved! Angels in the Community plan to make this event a permanent termly session and we cannot wait to host the next one!

Nicola Poole of The Tonbridge Childminding Group details below the great work being done by their group!

"We are members of the Tonbridge Childminding Group, who individually offer Ofsted registered childcare to children in the area of Tonbridge and just outside. 

“Whilst parents work, we care for, nurture and educate children across all ages from birth until they start school, so those very important formative Early Years. Sometimes children also continue to attend in the school holidays. 

“We all work from our own homes and meet on a weekly basis. The group provides a place for childminders to receive support from one another as well as benefiting the children, as they can learn to socialise in a larger setting.

“We aim to provide as many social experiences as we can where children are unable to attend with their parents and so this footballing session was a great example of offering very important community experiences mixed with a very fun way to learn new skills." 

Community Development Officer Dom Welsh added "We were delighted to host such fantastic children and their childminders. It is great to extend our outreach away from the norm and offer a large variety of community activities. Our coaches did an excellent job engaging the children and we can't wait for the next event and others like this."
