Trial dates for Under-18's
Trials set for May
Tonbridge Angels Under-18’s will be holding trials for next season on Monday, 13th May and Monday, 20th May from 7.30pm until 9pm at Longmead Stadium.
The trials are open to current school year 10, 11 and 12 with a date of birth qualification of post-1st September 2006.
It is necessary to pre-register and this can be done via email dom.welsh@tonbridgeangels.co.uk or call on 07587238635.
Tonbridge Angels Under-18’s play in the Isthmian Youth League with home games on Longmead Stadium’s FIFA Pro 3G surface on Monday evenings. Opposition comes in the shape of fellow National Conference South clubs Welling United and Maidstone United and strong Isthmian League teams such as Chatham Town and Cray Valley PM. A strong finish to this season might enable the Angels to finish in the top three.
What can we offer you or your son?
Alongside Isthmian Youth League football there is entry to the FA Youth Cup, Kent County Cup and the Isthmian League Cup.
Training is twice a week with Dom Welsh, an FA qualified coach, at the helm. Veo footage is available for all games and twice per season a player report would be received from the management team.
Tonbridge Angels have a proven record of a pathway to first team football. This season, Under-18’s skipper Will Puffette has made a senior National League South appearance whilst Toby Edwards, Felix Waring and Noah Millis have featured on the substitute’s bench.
Our Under-18 players are regularly asked to train alongside the first team squad in their training sessions and no less than 11 of our squad have had this opportunity this season.
Should university be the ultimate goal, then we are proud that two of our players have taken scholarships in the United States with a third is making the journey in September.
We are also proud that our management team promotes a close-knit group that fosters friendships that endure beyond the pitch, hopefully for many years to come.
Take a note of the dates and give the trials a chance, it is a great opportunity.
