Trialist Rayan earns an Angels place
Successful pre-season sees forward make permanent move
Tonbridge Angels are pleased to announce, that after a successful trial period, they have completed the signing of Rayan Clarke, a 23 year-old forward, who last season was with Kings Langley.
Rayan spent his youth career at Tottenham Hotspur, signing scholarship forms during the summer of 2017 and in a two year spell at Under-18 level under the guidance of Scott Parker, he was in a team that went close to winning the Premier League South title for that age group. He spent a year at Under-23 level with Spurs before being released in 2020.
Rayan spent time at Hayes and Yeading and Westfield before joining Southern League Division One Central club Kings Langley where he enjoyed a successful season scoring 15 times in a total of 33 appearances.
Jay Saunders, said of the addition to his squad: "I’m pleased to get Rayan as part of the squad. Since he has come in he has scored a few goals, looked sharp and I think he offers something different to what we have and can play a few positions in that forward area. You want more goals in your squad and, I believe, if we can get him in the right areas of the pitch he will deliver goals and assists and, on top of that, he has come in and really fitted in with the boys well which is obviously important when you are building a squad, quite a new squad like we have, and I’m sure he will be another good addition adding more competition to what already we have.”
