Brian Cheal’s original text reflects on a season that brought a last day promotion near-miss; a Leeds United connection that brought three great players to the club and the arrival of Captain Fantastic, Joe Carolan. It was also the season of the Big Freeze with no Angels football between Boxing Day and Valentines Day - well, we all now know what that must have been like!   

You will notice that there are fewer pictures in this issue, strangely it seemed easier to find pictures from the 1950’s than it has done for the 60’s.
