Angels Walkers defy the cold
On a very cold and frosty Saturday morning, Angels Over 60 Blues began a busy week in the Kent Walking Football League West Division. Our opponents were Ebbsfleet Reds.
The Angels were in control from the start spending the majority of the game in the Ebbsfleet half. The passing and movement were excellent and chances came thick and fast. Leading goalscorer Nigel Bragg left his shooting boots at home this week but Graham Smith and Steve Elliott (2) stepped up to the plate, giving the Angels a comfortable three-nil win. The woodwork was hit on four occasions and the Ebbsfleet keeper was in fine form to keep us out making a string of fine saves. At the other end our reliable keeper Mike Hurn had only a couple of saves to make during the whole game.
