We're walking in a Turner Wonderland!
Long-serving JT back for another season
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to announce that fan’s favourite Joe Turner has signed for his seventh season at the club.
The 29 year-old, signed from Kingstonian back in 2017, has a career total of 246 appearances, having scored 67 goals.
Joe played through the pain of a hernia early last season before having an operation in December, returning on Boxing Day to reproduce his usual consistent performances in a season in which he made 44 appearances, two from the bench, scoring eight goals and contributing 11 assists.
Joe commented: “Delighted to agree terms for another year. I’ve really enjoyed playing for Jay this season. Tonbridge is a club very close to my heart and I feel I’ve still got lots to offer as the club and community continues to move forward on and off the pitch. It fits perfectly with home and work life and I have personal records I’d like to achieve for the club. Let’s hope we can continue to kick on from last season’s progress.”
Manager Jay Saunders, delighted to secure Joe’s services for another season added: “I'm delighted to keep hold of Joe for another season. He's a proven player at this level and knows the club inside and out. His experience will be massive as we look to push on next season"
