Tonbridge Angels are pleased to announce the re-signing of Nathan Wood for the coming season.

Nathan is a product of Southampton’s Academy before moving into youth team football with AFC Wimbledon. After various loans he signed for National League Woking but after a spell there, he signed for Faversham Town where he quickly made a big impression, attracting the attention of several clubs from higher tiers.

But it was Tonbridge that Nathan chose to move on to with Jay Saunders saying at the time: “We’ve known about Nathan for a while now and he’s been recognised as one of the best players at that level with good pace and quality.”

Nathan’s appearances were limited and he had loan spells at Ramsgate and Margate before returning to his parent club at the end of the Isthmian League season to appear as a substitute and score the opening goal in the comeback win at Farnborough.

Nathan said: “I’m delighted to be back for next season. Last season I feel like the club  and the fans didn’t see the best of me but I’m ready to kick on and contribute to what we want to achieve next season.”
