Wycombe duo drafted in

As Santos leaves on loan
Jay Saunders has bolstered his squad with a double loan signing from Wycombe Wanderers but also allowed Jeremy Santos to go out on a month's loan to Isthmian League Premier club, Canvey Island.
Christie Ward is a 21-year-old midfielder who joined Wycombe after two years impressing in the Wessex League with Brockenhurst as a 17-year-old, scoring 19 times in 50 appearances. He made his debut in an EFL Trophy match against Peterborough United. Christie has since had loan spells with Hungerford Town, Slough Town and Weymouth, where he played against the Angels earlier in the season.
Jay said of Christie: “With the injured boys being out it was important that we got someone into the club that knew the level. He’s a good size, good athlete and has good quality in the central areas.”
Arriving at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium alongside Christie will be his team mate, Brody Peart, a 19-year-old forward. Brody signed for the Chairboys during the summer having finished his time in the Academy at Brighton & Hove Albion. He has spent time this season at Basingstoke Town, where he also had a spell on loan from Brighton, scoring eight times in 20 appearances, in a Southern League South Central championship winning side. “With the fact that Shieldsy has been injured we needed to bolster in certain areas and Brody can play wide or up front. Brody’s really keen, got lots of pace and power. They are both good lads who can add to us.”
Both arrive on an initial one month loan.
Of Jeremy’s departure, Jay commented: “Santos needs to go out and get continuous games to get the form back, of which, we know he is capable.” Meanwhile, as mentioned in the Worthing preview, Garrett Kelly has left the club. “The sending off and suspension, missing four games, meant that we had to bring other people in, like Jack Wood and balance the budget.”
We welcome Christie and Brody to Tonbridge Angels and thank Wycombe Wanderers for facilitating their respective loans and wish Jeremy the very best of fortune during his loan spell and similarly to Garrett for his future career.
