Born in Ireland Dylan played Gaelic football in his native country but it was in the Association version of the game that his sporting career really flourished with international honours gained in the Republic’s U16 team with significant interest at that stage being shown by Charlton Athletic.  

He went on to join the South East London club scoring regularly at youth level to the extent that in 2021 he signed a professional contract for the Charlton Athletic Academy.  

As part of his development he went on loan to Billericay Town where he was to score 6 goals in 16 appearances including the winning strike in the Essex Senior Cup Final against Bowers & Pitsea.
