James Taylor joined Tonbridge Angels on loan during 2021/22 until the end of the season from Crystal Palace U23s and played a crucial role in the club preserving its National South status.  .

Having left the Eagles at the end of 2021/22, James decided to sign for the Angels at the start of season 2022/23.

A central midfielder 'without fear of a tackle', James had joined the Eagles in summer 2020 after impressing on trial and went on to become a regular in Crystal Palace's U23's boss Paddy McCarthy's squad. 

Previously he was part of Bristol City's Academy for almost seven years and has represented England at youth level.
