I recently joined the academy in the summer (2021), I’m incredibly happy to be a part of all its successes today and in the future.

My football journey began from a very young age, I was then signed for Gillingham at the age of 7 and released at the age of 14. After leaving school I started my football scholarship at Ebbsfleet United where I played in squad one as a first-year scholar.

In my second year I made the switch to Maidstone United where I was taught and coached by academy director Tommy Parkinson. I played in a successful squad one team during my second year at Maidstone. I then stayed on a further year to complete my personal training qualification alongside regular training and football matches at the academy. In my opinion I believe this is one of, if not, the best pathways for playing football full time alongside education.

I finished my three-year football scholarship with football experience, a nationally recognised qualification, coaching badges, and a personal trainer qualification.

I then furthered my education by moving onto the University of Greenwich, where I have recently graduated with a First-Class degree in Sport and Physical Education.

My role at the academy includes teacher of the second years in school and the coach of the 2nd development team.

As I have completed the same journey our students are now on, my aim is to inspire students and show them my journey and how they can do the same with hard work and commitment.

Tommy has presented me this opportunity and I couldn’t be more grateful, it’s now time to work hard and guide the academy players in the right direction.
