Women through to second Final

Late goals seal a place in Kent Plate Final
Tonbridge Angels Women reached a second Final this season with a fine 4-0 win over Park Regis in the Kent Women’s Plate.
After taking a first half lead through Aimee Churchill, they needed to play a patient game through the second half before three goals in the last 10 minutes through JJ Sullivan, Grace Mayhead and a second for Churchill sealed their place in next month’s Final.
Joe Rowe, speaking after the game, said: “We knew it would be a tough game today, Park Regis are doing well in their league. We’ve played a couple of games where we have had to change our style, having to go a bit longer on grass pitches so today it was good that we settled back into a normal pattern of play. We stayed patient, stuck to our principles and came through in the end.”
The Angels Women will meet Hollands and Blair, who beat Maidstone United in the other semi-final on Thursday, 17th April at the Gallagher Stadium.
In their second Final, the South East Counties Women’s League Cup, the Angels will meet Parkwood Rangers on Thursday, 8th May also at the Gallagher Stadium.
